CREATIVE CODE STUDIO · AGES 8–1490 MIN WORKSHOP

Turn your idea into a story you can play — in one session.

A 90-minute workshop where your kid directs AI to build a short, playable story. They create an original hero, stage a problem, add a choice that truly changes what happens, test both paths and finish with a showcase and share request.

BEFORE THE WORKSHOP

What to bring

Each child builds on their own device, so please pack:

  • A laptop or large tablet

Fully charged, modern browser; tablets at least 9.7 inches.

  • The charger

The full 90 minutes is hands-on.

  • A mouse or trackpad

Useful for arranging scenes and testing choices.

  • Headphones

Useful when adding and testing story sound.

WHY IT’S DIFFERENT

A whole game — made with AI, end to end.

One idea becomes a story someone else can play. Three skills, one session:

Story Design

Shape a character, a goal and a problem into a clear beginning that invites the player in.

Choice & Consequence

Build a meaningful choice and make each path change what the player sees and does.

Test & Share

Play both paths, repair confusing moments and submit the finished story to share home.

THE LONG-TERM GROWTH

Skills your child practises while they build.

Each capability is tied to something children actually do in the course. The lesson markers below show where that practice happens.

Training intensity describes how strongly and how often the course deliberately practises a capability. It is not a score for your child.

Primary focus

Innovative Designer

Prototypes a branching story, tests both paths and improves the experience from player feedback.

THE BUILD

90 min plan, one game they can show.

One 90-minute creative build, broken into clear story-making checkpoints.

1

Open the story door · 0–10 min

Meet the mission, play a finished example and choose the feeling your story should create.

AI in this step: Meet Airo as a build partner — the kid remains the author and director.

Skills practised in this stage
Empowered Learner · 1/5 Creative Communicator · 2/5
They ship

A clear story feeling and one-sentence idea.

2

Meet your hero · 10–20 min

Invent an original character, their world and the thing they want most.

AI in this step: Turn specific character notes into a stronger first scene.

Skills practised in this stage
Innovative Designer · 3/5 Creative Communicator · 3/5 Digital Citizen · 2/5
They ship

An original hero, setting and goal.

3

Build the first scene · 20–30 min

Create the opening screen and make the character, problem and next action easy to understand.

AI in this step: Direct the first playable scene with one clear prompt at a time.

Skills practised in this stage
Computational Thinker · 3/5 Innovative Designer · 3/5
They ship

A playable opening scene.

4

Add a real choice · 30–45 min

Give the player two options that reveal character or change the journey — not two buttons that do the same thing.

AI in this step: Ask AI to wire each choice to its own next scene.

Skills practised in this stage
Computational Thinker · 4/5 Innovative Designer · 4/5 Creative Communicator · 4/5
They ship

One meaningful choice with two working paths.

5

Make consequences count · 45–60 min

Show a different result on each path through words, art, sound or a changed story state.

AI in this step: Direct visible consequences and repair any broken links.

Skills practised in this stage
Computational Thinker · 4/5 Innovative Designer · 4/5
They ship

Two distinct consequences and a complete ending.

6

Play every path · 60–75 min

Test from the beginning twice, debug confusing moments and add one signature detail.

AI in this step: Use AI to diagnose one issue at a time, then verify the fix by playing.

Skills practised in this stage
Computational Thinker · 4/5 Empowered Learner · 4/5 Innovative Designer · 5/5
They ship

A polished story whose two paths both work.

7

Story showcase · 75–85 min

Pair up, play someone else’s story and present the choice you are proudest of.

AI in this step: Step away from AI and watch a real audience respond.

Skills practised in this stage
Global Collaborator · 2/5 Creative Communicator · 4/5
They ship

Peer feedback and a live story presentation.

8

Take the story home · 85–90 min

Submit a share request and name the next chapter you would build.

AI in this step: Package the finished story for grown-up approval and sharing.

Skills practised in this stage
Creative Communicator · 5/5 Empowered Learner · 3/5 Digital Citizen · 3/5
They ship

A completed interactive story ready for an approved share link.

FAQS

Common questions.

Is this workshop in person?

Yes. This is a face-to-face 90-minute workshop with a teacher coaching around the room.

Does my child need coding or writing experience?

No. The workshop starts from a guided story frame, and the AI handles the heavy technical work while your child makes the creative decisions.

What makes the story interactive?

The player reaches a real choice. Each option leads to a different consequence, so the story responds to what the player decides.

Will every child finish?

The session is timeboxed around one short, complete story. Coaches protect the working choice and ending before optional polish.

What should they bring?

A laptop or tablet with a modern browser. Tablets should be at least 9.7 inches. Nothing needs to be installed.

How is sharing handled?

Children submit a share request. A grown-up or authorised teacher approves it before a public link is issued.
